COMMUNITY SEWER COALITION
TRANSFORMING WASTEWATER INFRASTRUCTURE. TOGETHER.

Who We Are
The Community Sewer Coalition (CSC) is a nonprofit network of local leaders, developers, vendors, engineers, city managers, and engaged citizens committed to rethinking wastewater infrastructure.
We believe communities deserve access to modern, affordable, and sustainable sewer solutions that meet today’s demands while preparing for tomorrow’s growth.
Our Mission
To empower communities and decision-makers with the knowledge, partnerships, and tools needed to adopt scalable, community-centered wastewater systems, raising the standard for financing, treatment, and service delivery.
Our Vision
A future where no community is held back by sewer limitations.
From rural towns to growing cities, every neighborhood deserves resilient, cost-effective solutions that support housing, health, and long-term sustainability.

Why It Matters
💧 Failing Septic Systems:
From Cape Cod to Hawaii, outdated septic tanks and cesspools are damaging our environment and restricting development.
🏘️ Stalled Developments:
Builders are blocked by treatment plants at capacity, with no affordable path forward.
🔧 Old Gravity Systems:
Expensive, inefficient, and prone to inflow/infiltration (I&I), these legacy systems can’t meet today’s expectations.

The Coalition was founded to provide a clear, logical path to sustainable wastewater infrastructure.
By partnering with us, you can help our neighborhoods become more sustainable and practical by:
Establishing a community of best practices to guide the adoption and advancement of innovative wastewater solutions for small communities.
Raising awareness of modern sewer technologies.
Developing septic-to-sewer conversion programs.
Creating standardized Life Cycle Cost Analyses to ensure transparency in evaluating the cost-effectiveness of wastewater management options.
Collaborating with academia and municipalities.
Advocating for transparency in public works financing.
The time is now for the Coalition to enable communities with the ability to overcome the challenges that we find ourselves in as a nation.
Come join us and make a difference!
